ECE 286 - Project Assignement - Fall 2002

Project Problems in pdf Format

The project carries 25% of your final grade for the course.  You must submit the following deliverables to the ECE office on or before  December 6th 2002 - 5:00 p.m. - Last Day of Class.  No late assignment will be accepted.

There are total Twelve Problems.

Problems 3,5,7,8, 9 and 12 must be solved writing the circuit file and then using the PSpice program.

Problems 8.41, 8.51, 9.23, 9.36, and 14.19 and 3 (Laplace) must be solved using the Schematics Capture.

For each problem in the project you are to submit the following:

1. A complete analytical  solution based on what has been discussed in the ECE201 and ECE 202 classes, neatly done on Engineering paper with your name and ID number written on the top (similar to what you have been doing for the home work problems.

2. A complete simulation of the circuit problems with the necessary analysis performed i.e dc, ac or transient.  These will be done using ORCAD 9.1 (or higher version).  If you have to create any special part and symbols or library such as for IdealOpAmp problems make sure they exist on the disk you turn in with your project .  You must use the "ALIAS" button to number the nodes to simple values such as 1,2 etc..

3. Create folders for every problems with intuitive names such as Problem1 or Problem415 etc.... and any related files for the simulation of the problem must be saved in these folders.  If you submit all the files in one directory your project WILL NOT BE GRADED.  SO PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS. NO OTHER EXCUSE WILL BE ACCEPTED.  IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ASK ME OR T.A -- SATISH FOR CLARIFICATION.

4.  FINAL SUBMISSION WILL INCLUDE THE FLOPPY DISK CONTAINING YOUR SIMULATION FILES AND RELATED RESULTS.  ALSO SUBMIT IN A RING BINDER A PRINTOUT OF THE SCHEMATICS AND ANY PLOT DATE YOU WANT TO INCLUDE FOR US TO SEE YOUR ANSWERS AND THE OUTPUT FILE CONTAINING THE RESULTS.  CLEARLY HIGHLIGHT THE VALUES OF THE VOLTAGES OR CURRENTS YOU WANT ME TO SEE.  YOU MAY HAVE TO ALSO HAND CALCULATE SOME OF THE REQUIRED VALUES USING THE OUTPUT RESULTS.
