An agreement to set up a 2 x 2 Computer Engineering program with Rajagiri
International School for Education and Research in Kerela, Republic of India,
was signed at a ceremony held Wednesday, August 2. Students in the program
will spend their first two years in India in an engineering program directed
by Old Dominion and will then come to Norfolk to complete their bachelor's
degrees with upper-level engineering courses.
The process of selecting twenty-five students is underway in India. The
agreement was facilitated by Dr. Stephen Zahorian and Dr. Sacharia Albin of
the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. "This will be a
unique opportunity for Indian Undergraduate Students to receive the benefits
of their native education system, as well as those of the American system, to
fully prepare them to function in the global market," said
